Melaka Raya Old Taste Becomes Fresh Taste

Sister was kind enough to introduce us to Melaka Raya Old Taste Cafe yesterday.
Ahh, I mean my real sister. I know some of my friends do not know that I have a big sister until I mention 'sister'.

There are so many OLD kopitiam: Old Town, Old Village, Old Malacca and Old Taste until my eyeballs repeatedly rotate in 360 degrees.

Old Taste transformed into Fresh Taste early in the morning. It feels nice to sit down with the morning fresh environment in the town, although town sounds more like a hassle and bustle city.

When it comes to food, I prefer not-so-oily food nowadays.
So sister ordered bread and a cup of coffee.
Mother ordered Nasi Lemak whereas yours truly ordered Fishball Meehoon and a cup of sugar free Milo.

What we think of the food?
Mother loved her Nasi Lemak. I simply loved my Meehoon soup. Never did I know that the soup was not so oily. Thank God.

My sister gave zero comment. Perhaps she always come to the kopitiam. Besides, she loved to nag and nag and nag ever since she was young.
So early in the morning, there is something wrong if she does not nag. I guess nagging run in my paternal family. So, I do not blame her now.

Me and Sister. We hardly take picture together nowadays. SO i guess this is a precious picture of us.

I just love this. You gotta try it!

If you are wondering where to eat in Malacca?
Come and try Old Taste Cafe in Melaka Raya.

"In Form 5, I want to ride motorbike to school"

Today (2-1-2013) is the day Joshua Lum go to secondary school, as a Form 1 student.

I woke up early to wish him luck and gave him RM 1 as a new beginning for his school journey. Mother had given him few Ringgit, so I can never give him more. Or else, he would buy some junk food in school.

It feels weird that he enters secondary school now. Deep in our heart, he is still a baby boy. Sounds silly but that's true. We went to his kindergarten, primary school and now secondary school.

Mother was worried that he would not adapt to this new school. Well, he is the diamond boy of my mother. The apple of my mother's eyes.

Big Josh surprised us with his new personality. He loves this school, although this is his first day. He makes new friends, go to the canteen with his new friends and starts to write on his notebook to jot down things to do.

He may not been in the top class, somehow what's most important is that, he enjoys his school, his class, his friends and teachers. So he will have the mood to study hard. That's all that matter, you know.

On the way back from his school, he saw few seniors went back with motorcycle. So he told my mother:" When I go Form 5, I ride motorbike to school."

There are good and bad. Good because he thinks far. Bad because he thinks of looking cool now.

The Xmas Home Caroling, I witnessed in 3D world, for the first time:)

"Oh, that's Xmas home caroling."
"So many people singing, playing guitar and singing."
"It must be wonderful."

Those are my thoughts when I watched it from a projector, in a 2D world for the first time, last year. Yes, 2D world that I could never use my hand to touch it, and feel it but to play with my imagination.

I am lucky enough to get to witness it in the 3Dimensional World on last Wednesday at my aunt's new place. There was a Santa Claus too!

I have a wonderful friend called Carol. I know that the atmosphere where people who sing Christmas song called Caroling. Now, I only know that caroling is meant to promote happiness, good will and friendship.

Apart from singing among themselves, they too, invited the guests to dance with them. Awesome. Besides, my aunt also prepared lots of food for them to eat, after singing session ended. Mega Awesome.

That was a super awesome day.
How can I not capture the awesome moment to share with everyone:)

Oh Look, Yours truly and her cousin can't leave the Christmas Tree:)

Brother and our cousin were not in the mood for 'say chesse'

Sunday Sea

"Where to go for breakfast?" dad asked us this morning.

We had been going to the same coffee shop for months so it felt awesome to visit another old food court near to a temple this morning.

As usual,a typical food court is a noisy place. The noise did not irritate my ear because that's where people love to gather on Sunday morning. It sounded more like a nice noise.

The sound of a pair of fork and spoon, the chopping noise of people chopping the chicken for chicken rice, the laughter of human beings filled the atmosphere.

They tried to make me go to rehab but I said 'no,no,no'
Yes I've been black but when I come back you'll know know know

That's Adele's voice, I thought for the first time.
Rehab? that's the song of the late Amy Winehouse.

There were few songs of her airing on the radio player again and again. Awesome. Food court mixed with the modern song of the world. No doubt, Amy Winehouse's melodies are catch-able.

The staffs were hardworking. From preparing the toast bread to cooking the meal, they seemed fast like a battery which was fully charged. It can be mentally and physically tired for them, but that did not stop them from running their business on weekend. Weekend? The week I am so looking forward to have a big rest.

It's good to wake up early on a Sunday morning, sitting at a coffee shop, eating with your family.
One week once, we can find the time to do it.
